There are plenty of reasons why Scottsdale is one of the top tourist attractions in the U.S. It also plays a role in why Maricopa County is continually the top area of the nation for relocations of all kinds. In April 2019 Scottsdale was named the number one city for vacation rentals.

Scottsdale tops the list for job opportunities as of May 2020. In January 2019 the same source named Scottsdale as #1 for job market strength. The Wall Street Journal calls Scottsdale a “hot spot of energy and millennials.”

Scottsdale is known for home buying, shopping, entertainment and events. It borders Phoenix, Paradise Valley and Tempe, within a few miles of Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport.

Scottsdale seamlessly borders Carefree and Cave Creek on the north; Fountain Hills, lakes, Tonto National Forrest, and the Casinos located on Native American Reservations to the east; and the East Valley cities of Tempe, Mesa, Chandler on the south; and on the west Phoenix, Glendale, Peoria, Avondale, Litchfield Park, Surprise and more.

Golf, Art, Shopping, Entertainment. It doesn’t get better than Scottsdale! There are over 220 golf courses, hundreds of art galleries, some of the nation’s best destination resorts and conference centers, and non-stop restaurants, night clubs, high end shopping and specialty shops. In ADDITION, it is consistently named as one of the most vibrant cities in the country.

Outdoor enthusiasts love the hundreds of hiking trails throughout Scottsdale, boating at nearby marinas, equestrian trails throughout the mountain preserves, biking and golfing.  Annual events held here include 21 NBA Spring Training teams each March, the GPA’s famous “Phoenix Open” each February, the most well-respected Collector Car Auctions each January. Nearby the Superbowl has been hosted many times, the annual Tempe Ironman and Fiesta Bowl and P.F. Chang’s Rock & Roll Marathon. Local sports include the Arizona State University Sun Devils, with professional sports including the Arizona Diamondbacks, the Phoenix Suns, the Arizona Cardinals, the Phoenix Mercury and the Phoenix Rising Soccer.

Scottsdale is rated one of the nation’s most desirable communities to live and visit. Known as “The West’s Most Western town.”  The McDowell Sonoran Preserve located in and adjacent Scottsdale is claimed to be the largest urban wilderness area in the United States.

Open Enrollment and a robust Charter School system provides public education that includes some of the highest-ranking schools in the nation. There are many private schools to choose from as well. Arizona State University dominates Tempe, immediately south of Scottsdale, and is a short light rail commute from the downtown campus shared by ASU and the University of Arizona.  Scottsdale 3C Schools
